Well, if they have been missing for over twenty-four hours they would be considered as having abandoned their position and dishonorably discharged, or they would be considered dead. We don’t have the time or resources to send out search missions for every person that wanders off.

Hanji and I are good friends but that’s it. Hanji is married to science after all.

The fine print is usually not a good thing, Levi. It’s often terms and conditions, negative notes or things people like to ignore.

With tea, or scotch if it’s been a very hard day, a book to read at night and talking with Levi or Hanji to get anything out that I need to say. They’re both very good at listening to me when I need it.

I would be flattered but I would tell them it wasn’t something that could be. I would probably be much too old for them, I don’t have time for a relationship with anyone in my position and saving humanity would always come first for me. Besides, there is little room for romance in these troubled times.
